Privacy Policy

Effective date: 2026-04-19 · Last updated: 2026-06-19

This Privacy Policy describes how Swipe Reflex ("the app", "we", "us") handles information when you use our mobile game. We've written this in plain language because we think you should actually be able to read it.

Short version: The game stores your progress on your device and does not collect personal information. It uses anonymous Firebase Analytics to understand how players progress (turned off for players Google identifies as children). Optional features — signing in to Google Play Games, watching ads, or making in-app purchases — involve Google services that process limited data on our behalf. Details below.

1. Who We Are

Swipe Reflex is developed and published by OneUp Tech. You can contact us at swipe-contact@oneuptech.ro.

2. What the Game Does by Default

When you play Swipe Reflex without signing in, watching ads, or making purchases:

  • Your game progress (levels completed, coins, diamonds, achievements, shop purchases, garden state, settings) is stored only on your device, using Android's local storage (localStorage).
  • We do not transmit your saved game progress to any server (other than the optional cloud sync, and the anonymous analytics described below).
  • We do not collect your name, email, phone number, location, contacts, photos, or any other personal information.
  • We use Firebase Analytics (Google Analytics for Firebase) for anonymous, aggregate gameplay measurement — see Analytics below. We do not use any other analytics provider.
  • We do not fingerprint your device.

Local Notifications

The game schedules local reminders on your device (e.g. "your crops are ready", "cup game is ready", "new challenges are available"). These are handled entirely by your device's Android system — we do not send push notifications from any server and we never see whether or when a notification fires.

Analytics (Google Analytics for Firebase)

The game uses Firebase Analytics (Google Analytics for Firebase) to understand, in aggregate, how players progress — for example how many players reach the final boss, or unlock a new game mode, the Garden, or a new chapter. To do this, Google generates a random, app-specific instance identifier and records anonymous event data (such as "reached the final boss" or "unlocked a mode"). This data does not include your name, email, or any information that identifies you personally.

This analytics data is processed by Google under the Google Privacy Policy. We link it to Google Ads so we can measure how effectively our advertising reaches players who enjoy the game. We do not sell your data.

Analytics collection is automatically turned off for players whom Google Play's Age Signals indicate are children. You can also reset or delete the identifiers used for analytics and ads at any time in your device settings (Settings → Privacy → Ads → Delete advertising ID), or by uninstalling the app, which clears the analytics instance identifier.

3. Optional Features That Involve Google Services

The following are optional. You can play the game fully without enabling any of them.

3.1 Google Play Games Sign-in and Cloud Progress Sync

If you choose to sign in with your Google Play Games account, the app uses Google Play Games Services to:

  • Authenticate you with your Google Play Games profile
  • Synchronize your game progress to Google's Saved Games cloud, so you can resume on another device or restore progress after reinstalling
  • When available, submit your scores to leaderboard features and unlock achievements visible to other players

When you sign in, Google may process your Play Games player ID, profile display name, and avatar. This data is handled by Google under its own Privacy Policy. We receive only the minimum needed to store your save data and display your name in supported leaderboard features when available.

You can sign out at any time through the Google Play Games app or your device settings. Signing out stops the sync; local progress on your device is preserved.

3.2 Advertising (Google AdMob)

The game shows rewarded ads — optional videos you can watch in exchange for in-game rewards (e.g. skipping a cooldown, receiving an extra fertilizer, receiving bonus currency). You are never required to watch an ad to progress in the game.

Rewarded ads are served by Google AdMob. To show relevant ads, AdMob may collect:

  • Your device's Advertising ID (a resettable identifier that you control in Android Settings → Privacy → Ads)
  • Coarse location derived from IP address
  • Device model, operating system version, and general device characteristics
  • Information about which ads were shown and whether you interacted with them

This processing is performed by Google under the Google Privacy Policy and the AdMob Data Disclosure. We ourselves do not receive or store the Advertising ID or any ad interaction data.

Users in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Switzerland will see a consent message from Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) before personalized ads are shown, as required by GDPR and the ePrivacy Directive. You can choose non-personalized ads, which use less data.

You can reset your Advertising ID or opt out of personalized ads at any time in your device settings: Settings → Privacy → Ads → Delete advertising ID (or "Opt out of Ads Personalization").

3.3 In-App Purchases (Google Play Billing)

The game offers optional in-app purchases, including:

  • Diamond packs (consumable, paid virtual currency)
  • Garden plot unlocks (non-consumable, one-time purchases)

Purchases are processed by Google Play Billing. Google receives your purchase details (product ID, transaction ID, purchase token, timestamp) and handles your payment under the Google Privacy Policy. We receive only the purchase token and product ID needed to grant the item in the game — we never see your payment card, address, or any billing information.

If you reinstall the game while signed in to the same Google account, the app will restore your non-consumable purchases (plot unlocks) via Google Play Billing's "purchase history" API.

4. Data We Collect, at a Glance

Put together, here is the complete picture of data the app (or services acting on its behalf) processes:

  • Stored only on your device: game progress, coins, diamonds, settings, achievements, garden state
  • Firebase Analytics (on by default, off for children): a random app-instance identifier and anonymous gameplay events (e.g. reaching the final boss, unlocking a mode, the Garden, or a new chapter)
  • Google Play Games (only if signed in): player ID, display name, avatar, save data, challenge or leaderboard scores when available
  • AdMob (only if you watch an ad): Advertising ID, coarse IP-derived location, device type, ad interactions
  • Google Play Billing (only if you purchase): product ID, transaction ID, purchase token
  • Never collected: your name, email, phone number, contacts, photos, precise location, microphone, camera, files

5. Permissions the App Requests

The app requests the minimum Android permissions required to function:

  • Post notifications — for local reminders (crops ready, cup game ready, new challenges available). Denying this permission does not affect gameplay.
  • Internet — only used when you enable Google Play Games sync, watch a rewarded ad, or make a purchase. Offline play is fully supported.
  • Wake lock (standard) — lets scheduled notifications fire while the device is idle.

We do not request access to your location, microphone, camera, contacts, storage, or any sensitive data.

6. Children's Privacy

Swipe Reflex is intended for players aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at swipe-contact@oneuptech.ro and we will delete it immediately.

The game complies with Google Play's Families Policy to the extent applicable: no behavioral advertising is shown to signed-in users under 13; ad networks used (AdMob) are certified for the Designed for Families program configuration where required.

In addition, Firebase Analytics collection is automatically disabled for users that Google Play's Age Signals identify as children, so no gameplay analytics are gathered from them.

7. Your Rights (GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA)

Because we do not collect personal data directly, most requests are handled by Google on our behalf. You have the right to:

  • Access — request a copy of any data we hold about you
  • Rectify — correct inaccurate data
  • Erase — request deletion of your data (see section 8)
  • Object to or restrict processing — including the right to opt out of personalized ads
  • Portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format
  • Withdraw consent at any time

To exercise these rights, contact us at swipe-contact@oneuptech.ro. For data processed by Google (Play Games, AdMob, Play Billing), you can manage your data directly in your Google account at myaccount.google.com.

If you are in the EU/EEA or UK, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

8. How to Delete Your Data

On-device game progress: uninstall the app. All local progress is removed.

Google Play Games cloud saves: open the Google Play Games app → your profile → Settings → Delete Play Games account & data, or visit myaccount.google.com/yourdata/play.

AdMob advertising data: Settings → Privacy → Ads → Delete advertising ID, or visit adssettings.google.com.

Analytics data: uninstalling the app resets the random analytics instance identifier. Resetting your advertising ID (above) also limits how analytics and ads data can be associated with you.

Purchase history: managed in your Google Play account. Refund requests go through Google Play Help.

You can also email us at swipe-contact@oneuptech.ro and we will help you with any deletion request within 30 days.

9. Data Security

All communication between the app and Google services (Play Games, AdMob, Play Billing) is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS. Local data on your device is protected by Android's application sandbox — other apps cannot read our storage. We do not operate any servers that hold your personal data.

10. International Data Transfers

Google services process data in the United States and other countries where Google operates. These transfers occur under Google's standard contractual clauses and other legal mechanisms as described in the Google Privacy Policy. We do not ourselves transfer data internationally because we do not collect personal data directly.

11. Third-Party Services We Rely On

  • Google Analytics for Firebase — privacy & security, privacy policy
  • Google Play Games Services — privacy policy
  • Google AdMob — data disclosure, privacy policy
  • Google Play Billing — privacy policy

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the game evolves (for example, when we add or remove features that affect data handling). When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top. Material changes will be announced in the app's release notes. Your continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
